In a quiet corner of Chiswick, there lies an American cake shop full of delectable cakes.
It’s a very small shop but the design is gorgeous. A long counter space with a few bar stools to perch on while you make your selection from the spread in front of you. Along the walls are shelves heaving with Americana and American baking ingredients.
I dropped in one afternoon after tennis to undo all the calories spent chasing tennis balls. My choice was the orange poppy seed cake which was a massive wedge. The cake was moist and totally lush.
Not wanting to waste the trip there, we also tried the sausage rolls which are usually sold out, I understand. These were not bad but could have done with heating up.
It’s a busy little spot, locals popping in to take away cupcakes and cookies. This would be the perfect bakery if not for the stroppy girls serving. Fab cakes, cool shop, go early.
