Masterchef finalists, Billy and Jack are a really talented duo ( @billy_and_jack). Give them any ingredients and they can transform it into the most delectable creations. Kit Kat challenged them to create a menu for the launch of their new product, KitKat Senses. Chocolate, Hazelnut and Salted Caramel are the three flavours in the little snack sized boxes and they came up with a delicious menu.
So the boys came up with this menu using those flavours.
Roasted Beetroot salad with chocolate balsamic dressing
Caramelised Pork Belly
Using the chocolate flavour, they made a chocolate balsamic sauce to go with this beetroot salad. It’s not only a pretty dish but the combination of sweet, sour and the earthiness of the beetroot and chocolate was a winner.
Using Caramel for a main course can be daunting for most. The boys came up with a Vietnamese Favourite, Caramelised Pork Belly. This dish is usually made with a catfish but pork belly is a worthy substitute. They slow cooked the pork belly until tender and coated it in a lemongrass infused caramel. This is definitely one a recipe that I am going to replicate.
Billy and Jack run pop ups in London and often work with other food brands like this. If they do food like this all the time, I’d be making a reservation soon.
