Cheese Afternoon Tea at Georgian House Hotel
A Cheese Afternoon Tea! Georgian House Hotel in Pimlico is serving their unique Cheese Afternoon Tea every weekend in August. Amazing that no one has done one before and this is the first in London.
The menu showcases great local produce, not just artisanal cheese but matched with English Wines and local craft beer too. This is the menu.

The Georgian House Hotel is a family run boutique hotel in Pimlico that serves an award winning English Breakfast. Somewhere in the hotel is a wizard themed room for fans of Harry Potter. Of course it is open to Muggles too. Afternoon tea is served in their contemporary restaurant downstairs.
Matched with each course of the tea are some unusual English Wines and Cider Pairings.
The first, a white pinot noir from the Albourne Estate in the South Downs. Their Pinot is made from red Pinot Noir grapes which were hand picked and whole bunch pressed so that the juice bears only a hint of colour.
Then Silly Moo Sussex cider, made in Trenchmore where there are 1600 traditional cider apple trees. The name came about as their cows (Sussex Wagyu) go a bit silly when they get the chance to devour the apple pomace left behind from pressing the juice.
Lastly, a delicious Hattingley Valley Entice Dessert Wine. At Hattingley Valley, the grapes are nurtured in Hampshire chalk. this dessert wine is made by blending the method of ice wine production with a late harvest style wine. This creates a golden, elegant and intense results with notes of luscious peach and elderflower. Goes really well with the drunk cheese.
This was my favourite course, especially those whiskey soaked apricots and the Mascarpone cheesecake cone & red berries. Very unusual and quite delicious.
This Afternoon Tea is quite unique and not your usual sandwiches and cakes. The savouries and scones are well balanced and one plate will not be enough. The tasty morsels on the sweet plate will leave you sated but not stuffed. The Chef is quite a wizard with her flavours.
You will have to book early as this Afternoon Tea has been very popular.

What a fabulous idea! it all sounds wonderful, especially those desserts. I live in Sussex so I need to find myself some Silly Moo Cider but I’d really love to try it all!
Am surprised no one has done it before. It makes a change.
