Tibits Plant Based Buffet Bankside
Tibits, the Swiss export is one of my favourite places for a plant-based meal in London. Their buffet style restaurant offers a variety of plant-based dishes that will suit all palates.
Recently, head chef introduced their new Spring menu, new ingredients and influences. The dishes they have added on the menu are the seitan bourguignon, a sweet potato dish which was an accidental invention by one of the chefs. All the dishes were delicious but you can’t take nice photos of a buffet.
I especially love the choice of seasonal vegetables, mixed salads and pickles on the side like thier homemade kim chi.

I love the buffet concept as you get to choose what you want and how much or little you want. At Tibits, you make your selection from the “food boat” and then you pay by the weight of your plate. We were there on a Tuesday which means that it was a totally vegan day.
There was an enormous number of dishes to choose from. From lots of cold salads to hot curries, fried rice and that mushroom and seitan bourguignon. The dishes are inspired by Chinese, Indian, Mexican, European and more. There is a lot of flavour on that boat.
To go with your meal, they have an extensive cocktail menu, some freshly squeezed juices and wines.
Their puddings are supposed to be the favourites with the regulars. On the night we were there, there was either vegan sticky toffee pudding and apple pie. There was a soya cream to go with them but they had run out. Personally, they didn’t work for me. I like my cream and custard. Maybe it’s different on the vegetarian days.
Tibits has 2 branches in London, one in Bankside and one in Heddon Street. If you are looking for a plant-based restaurant, Tibits is good choice.
