Krispy Kreme Launches limited edition Choco Mania
My first introduction to Krispy Kreme was in San Francisco in the early days when the Krispy Kreme fan club was at its height in California. My friends there were aghast that I had never tasted one. They were insistent on me trying it so we drove about 30 minutes out of town to the nearest outlet in Daly City to rectify this. A new obsession was born.
It was a few years after this when Krispy Kreme launched in Harrods, resulting in massive queues around the block. A sight that was truly rare in the backstreets of Knightsbridge. Today, you can find their doughnuts in Tesco shops all over the country.
At a recent event at the uber stylish Ham Yard Hotel, they launched their new limited edition range of Chocolate Doughnuts, the Chocomania Collection. There are four new flavours in this collection:
- Chocolate Hazelnut Kreme
- Krispy Kreme Triple Chocolate Cake
- Krispy Kreme chocolate and honeycomb doughnut
- Chocolate Krispy
We got to taste each doughnut with matching chocolate cocktails concocted by Ham Yard’s mixologist.
Every great food event allows you to participate and in this case, we got to decorate our own chocolate doughnuts.
The Krispy Kreme Chocomania range will be available in stand alone Krispy Kreme shops and outlets.
