Street food, Cocktails and Music at Pitch Stratford

The Pitch Stratford is an open space area less than 5 minutes walk from the Stratford underground station. One foot outside the station and you already get the vibrant energy from the neighbourhood. The space is funky and colourful, perfect for the summer days to come and to spend a nice day with friends enjoying nice food and music. We were not really lucky with the weather, it rained and was cold but still, the atmosphere was great. The DJs played some old school tracks and on the big screen, they showed a series of videos that made you giggle –  footage of people falling while skiing.
The bar offered a nice range of London brewed beers and three wine options –  three food stalls were open –  from hotdogs, to cheese bites, to arepas.

From Ticos: The French fries with beef, salad and bbq sauce were really nice. Crunchy fries with soft beef, nice flavour and certainly a good little plate for meat lovers.
The hotdog is always a no-brainer, nice sauce and good flavour.
At Kalimera: The haloumi wrap with tomato is a good alternative for veggies to be found in Kalimera food stall. Greek inspired kitchen with good Mediterranean flavours. The cheese bites were really nice too.
At Guasacaca – The arepas were really good! I tried the veggie option that had plantain and avocado. The staff was also very nice, all cooked freshly in front of us.
Pitch Stratford is open from now until the end of July. It’s a 10 minute walk from Stratford Tube.
Opening times:
Thursdays (from May)
Fridays: 4pm – 11pm
Saturdays: 12pm – 11pm
