Skylight Rooftop Playground at Tobacco Dock
It’s amazing to see how London is booming, offering hidden almost “secret” terraces and spaces to enjoy a beach like experience in the city! Skylight at Tobacco Dock is one of those spots you need to visit this summer.
The entrance is through the car park which gives a clandestine feeling, two floors up the stairs and you arrive in a three-level terrace with bars and food stalls with a view. What a VIEW!!
The space is arranged in a way you can play cricket or petanca but also chill in colourful XXL cushions, sit in lounge style sofas or enjoy your food in wood benches.
How are the food and the drinks? The watermelon mojito is certainly enjoyable, there is a selection of beer and wine on offer. When it comes to food we tried two plates, both vegetarian. Halloumi fries and halloumi taco. There are only two food stalls and the queues can get really long, so make sure you bring your patience with you. On the other hand, there is a cricket game point next to the food stalls, so you can queue and play with your friends.
Apart from the queue and the decent food, the music was on point, the atmosphere is great and the view – again – the view is amazing.
My advice: grab some popcorn and enjoy the sunset with a watermelon mojito!
