The Chocolate Show in Pictures
The Chocolate Show is the highlight of Chocolate Week. Not only are there lots of Chocolate Producers showcasing their wares, we have the Chocolate Fashion Shows with the models strutting the catwalk in confectionary endowed outfits.
If you want to learn more about chocolate, you need to visit the show and seek out the “fine chocolatiers” like Duffy’s Akeson and Friis Holm. If you get chance, you have to try Friis’ 3 turns dark chocolate bar which refers to how many times the beans are turned during fermentation. Taste it side by side with the ordinary 2 turn bar and your taste buds will be blown by the difference in smoothness and flavour. This year I met a new chocolatier (for me), Pablo from deepest darkest Wales, who makes bean to bar chocolates with Peruvian Cacao. Who knew ?
I always learn so much and discover so many new products and variations of Chocolates.
This was a troupe of human chocolate bars in body paint. So totally edible!
Of course this show is about the Cocoa bean and how it is transformed into this thing that we all love, chocolate.

My favourite fine chocalatier, Duffy’s show sources his cacao from Direct Cacao farmers, giving them a good price and getting terrific produce in return.
