Hotel Indigo Flavours of the Neighbourhood
Hotel Indigo recently ran a competition to find Britain’s favourite local food hero. There was a two-month long search carried out by Hotel Indigo around the UK, following up nominations on social media. They narrowed entries from across the UK down to six finalists, shown below.
On the finals night, the winner was announced, Broighter Rapeseed Oil from Ireland. The other finalists were Rmsay of Carluke, Bucking Cake Palace, Indian Tadka, The Albion Bakehouse and Vintage Tea Company.
Hotel Indigo is the Boutique Hotel brand of IHG. They have smaller more intimate hotels in cities around the world. This event was held that Hotel Indigo in Kensington which is decorated with art and memorabilia that shows some of the history of the area.
On the ground floor, there is a deli which is stocked with a selection of careful selected high quality deli products like fresh breads and cakes, wines, olive oils and groceries. These in house stores are for not just for hotel guests but for the people who live in the neighbourhood. The rooms have colourful contemporary furnishings and there is even a small gym.
