A Fun Week in Vancouver and BC – Video
There is so much to do in and around Vancouver BC. Depending on the season, you have a great choice of summer and winter adventure sports, spectacular sight seeing and really good food. All the ingredients you need for a great getaway.
Vancouver might be a city, but it is not a big city. It is easy to get around the metropolitan area with their metro system, taxi or even the local buses. The city is mostly on a grid system so it’s not easy to get lost. When you go out of town, driving around is easy as most the main destinations are clearly marked. Do beware of the Sea to Sky Highway up to Whistler. I had my rental car on cruise control, which should have been within the speed limit but one of their sneaky flying speed cameras caught me and I got a lovely speeding ticket when I got home.
There is so much to see and do. Make Vancouver one of your must see destinations. I’ve made a little video of my trip here which shows you a highlight of where to go and what to do.
On my most recent trip to Vancouver, I spent a week there where I cycled around town, explored First Nations food and culture, met lots of friendly Canadians and ate everything from street food (Japadogs) to fine dining, Pacific Coast Style (Boulevard).
There are so many things to see and so many beautiful views of this city on the water. I ventured off up the coast to take a crazy boat ride around Howe Sound where I saw sleeping seals, wild sea birds and dramatic scenery.
